Dive deep into the science behind drug development and pharmacology in our hands-on summer camp, offering high school students the opportunity to learn about careers in pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences from industry experts at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto.
Each week delves into an important area of pharmacy, providing learners with a fundamental understanding of physiology, pharmacology, pharmaceutical science, and communication skills through a mixture of educational discussions and interactive activities.

Pharmacy Summer Camp in partnership with PharmPath and generous donors is excited to offer a limited number of scholarships.
Each scholarship is equal to the tuition of one week of Pharmacy Summer Camp. There is no cash value for the scholarship.
Scholarships will only be available for NEW registrations. Scholarships cannot be retroactively applied to completed registrations.
Application Deadline: April 1, 2026 at 11:59 pm ET
Results will be communicated to applicants by April 24, 2026.
What you'll be learning!
Week 1: Pharmaceutical Sciences (July 6-10, 2026)
Students will dive into the science behind drug development, manufacturing, and quality control. Topics will include the chemistry of drug compounds, biopharmaceutics, and the role of technology in pharmaceuticals. Laboratory sessions will allow students to practice compounding and understand the processes of creating safe
and effective medications.
Week 2: Pharmacology (July 13-17, 2026)
Participants will explore the principles of
pharmacology, including how drugs work in the body, drug interactions, and drug
allergies. This week will feature interactive lectures, mystery detective work
to figure out the offending agent/poison, and case studies on drug therapies.
Week 3: The Human Body/Physiology(July 20-24, 2026)
This week focuses on understanding the basic anatomy and physiology of the human body. Students will learn about the major
systems (e.g., cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous) and how they function together. Activities will include interactive lectures, group presentations, and physical assessments for various conditions that affect the human body. Students will work with Manikins in the Simulation Lab for hands on experience!
Week 4: Pharmaceutical Sciences (July 27 – 31, 2026)
Students will dive into the science behind drug development, manufacturing, and quality control. Topics will include the chemistry of drug compounds, biopharmaceutics, and the role of technology in pharmaceuticals. Laboratory sessions will allow students to practice compounding and understand the processes of creating safe
and effective medications.
Week 5: Communication Skills (August 4- August 7, 2026)
The final week emphasizes the importance of communication in healthcare. Students will develop skills in presentation and patient counselling, health literacy, and
motivational interviewing. Role-playing activities and workshops will prepare
participants to communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals
effectively.

Refund Policy
Registration before April 24, 2026
If you registered before April 24, 2026, and you notify us before April 24, 2026, midnight EST, then you will receive a 100% refund of camp fees.
Registration after April 24, 2026
If you registered on or after April 24, 2026, and change your mind, the camp fee(s) are eligible for a full refund if you notify us by email within 48 hours from the time you registered for the program (i.e. 48-hour grace period). All registrations are considered final (i.e. non-refundable) after 48 hours.
*Refund exceptions will be considered for medical reasons accompanied by a doctor’s note.
